Outpatient Referrals
Thank you for referring your patient to Pediatric Heart Specialists. The physicians at Pediatric Heart Specialists value the relationships we have with our referring physicians and welcome any feedback or comments you may have regarding our practice. We take care to reinforce your role as your patient's primary care physician and our role as a cardiac consultant.
Clear and timely communication with our referring physicians is important to us. After your patient's visit, our physician will forward a summary of diagnostic reports and treatments to you as soon as it becomes available.
For your convenience you can either call us at 972-566-8700 or complete our Referral Form and fax it to our office. Please do not submit patient information via e-mail as it is not secure.
The information will be given to the Pediatric Heart Specialists physician you select or to an appropriate physician. Our staff will call your patient, schedule the first appointment and answer any questions they may have regarding their visit or our practice.
Hospital Consultations
Our physicians are on staff at every major hospital in the Dallas area, as well as most in northeast Texas. We are more than happy to provide consultations on hospitalized patients, including newborns. We will always see hospital consultations the same day. Simply contact our office to arrange for a hospital consultation. In addition, our physicians are more than happy to read studies from any of the hospitals listed, including ECGs and echocardiograms. Transport
Our physicians are available 24 hours a day to assist in the transport of ill patients with suspected or known cardiac disease. Feel free to contact our office to speak with one of the physicians in this regard.
